FRESH OFF THE BOAT

How many of your parents drill in your mind that you will only be a successful human being if you become a doctor, lawyer, or a pharmacist? Many of us in the millennial generation are first-generation Americans. Our parents came from the “Motherland” and moved to America to find a better life. In their minds the way to become successful in the motherland was to become a doctor, lawyer, and maybe a pharmacist. Our land is different. The millennial generation are bright, young, entrepreneurial minds that want to make a difference and be happy while doing it. Yes, it is a great success to be in one of those occupations, however what is the point if you do not love it?

STRIVE FOR SUCCESS!

In life, time is of the essence or so we think. Yes, time is important, however, it is also important to enjoy and absorb the moments that make up our lives. In order to enjoy our moments we have to actually like what we are doing with our lives!! I would not be able to enjoy my moments if I became something I didn’t like. Whoever you want to become, do it.

THE WORLD NEEDS THE JOURNEY

Right now is the season for transition. Some people are transitioning into new schools and others are just getting into the new phases of life like marriage or having children. Without transitional times like these the meaning of life diminishes. How are we to love where we end up if we do not appreciate the journey? Whatever the transition is you must be aware that this is what you want in your life. Transitions are hard because it is easy for us humans to become comfortable, however, transitions breed a whole new you! Think of transitions as a good thing and a great big sign where you can even take the opportunity to finally start to do what you love!Think about what is holding you back from striving towards your goals and your dreams. Is it your parents? Is it you finances? Is it lack of resources? It can even be living in what you think is the “wrong” city. Whatever you love to do will always come out sooner or later. Better sooner though, right? Why would you want to live a life where half way through you thought you were wasting all of it?
